本會最近收到舉報有機構以辦學名義，懷疑濫用「物理治療」，本會已正式去信物理治療師管理委員會作出投訴（詳見附件）。發表意見如下(節錄)：

Fanny說：「擺明他們是『掛羊頭賣狗肉』，以辦學為名騙取學費為實，更糟的是禍及公眾。要知道所有合資格的人士必須在政府指定的部門註冊方能成為合法執業物理治療師，然而他們卻自行執法及作出評審，簡真荒謬非常。可是一般市民又怎知道當中是非呢？尤其他們用上『理療師』的字眼。

我想各位同業可在自己卡片上申明自己是註冊物理治療師，甚至提供自己的註冊號碼以顯示真『金不怕洪爐火』，方便坊眾隨時確認我們的身份及專業資歷，而在診所內也要明確地展示出自己的註冊證書。我們甚至可把握每個跟坊眾溝通或聯絡的機會，例如公開撰文，在電視或電台接受訪問等，

公開讓坊眾知道我們的註冊事宜，讓他們懂得怎樣分辨真偽。」

Conal said,"You need to make a formal complaint against this company. It seems they are offering courses in manual 'physiotherapy'. It is actually a criminal offence under our ordinance to call yourself a physiotherapist without the necessary qualifications. An offence punishable by imprisonment. These people are going to train people who will, in turn, think they can call themselves physiotherapists, but will face probable prosecution if they do."

Y. Cheung said, "I don't think they should use the term 'Physio' in their titles. I think it misleads the public and they are under the impression that they are receiving Physiotherapy treatment when they are not.　I think it is unacceptable if they can get away with this, especially the term 'Synthetic Manual Physio Therapy' just because they add the word 'Synthetic' does not make it acceptable.　We really must protect our profession!"
